Monte Isom is a world class photographer. When I had the opportunity to meet and hear him lecture, I was blown away by his passion, humor, enthusiasm, and of course his photography. I was however disappointed with his logo–it didn't stand up to his work. In fact, it distracted. So at the first chance I had, I fine tuned his existing logo with the goal of aligning it more to his brand–polished and professional. Later gave Monte a disk with files for him to do with as he pleased. Did I overstep? I don't know–maybe Aaron Draplin made me do it. I do know that seeing Monte's work and how he approached it made me feel passionate too. And isn't that what its all about?
